Had to spur off a 4mm radial today at a twin socket to feed another socket so there were 3 x 4mm in the socket outlet.

Now i know that this is a hideous crime for a lot of sparks so i took special note of what i was doing.

1, there was enough room in the socket.

2, the terminal screws were not proud of socket

3, you can't actually make the screws proud by undoing them to there max

4, i measured the depth of the screw head once screwed up and it was down 5mm

5, i can do ring circuit testing before you bring that old chestnut up

6, Still probably be vilified by some

7, Don't care! :smoking:

so what's wrong witr it, apart from your terminology. you don't spur off a radial, you branch off. as for item 4. in your post, that's easy measured with your claws, anything over 5mm, get the buggers clipped..LOL.
