chaps, I have been asked to install a shower into a 4th floor flat. Without testing the water presssure I;'m guessing it would be pertinent to install a power shower.. . . would you agree

Also, I notice the split consumer unit does not have the bathroom circuits (towel rail and bath pump and lights are not RCD protected. The flat is only 5 years old so I am assuming the electrical install was carrtied out under 16th. Once again I will point out to the owner that these circuits should be RCd protected, but the quetsion I am asking is : am I legally bound to chnage the circuits or is this the decision of the owner?

Cheers

If you are installing an electric shower, then you should follow the manufacturers instructions and ensure your circuit meets the 17th.

As the flat is only 5 years old, all the supp bonding etc should be ok, so no need to RCD anything else, especilly if you are not altering it.
