Hi All
Can anyone give me some dates on when it became regulation to RCD protect a Shower and likewise for sockets (that possibly serve outside areas)?

July 2008 17th ed

and sockets that possibly serve outside areas 1991 16th ed... might have been one of the later updates to the 16th.. AM1 or AM2

RCD's for showers is a 17th edition requirement, although before that, it was dependent on the manufacturers instructions, which overruled the regs i think.:)
