Is there much difference in the Uk / Irish Regs, can anyone shed any light on the major difference

One is brown and the other is yellow, apart from that and a wee bit on the earthing side there is not so much difference.
Just don't be like the plank that brought all his wire from the UK and missed the colour coding part, red and black are not acceptable here. He got to rewire the entire job.
