I am currently doing my level 3 2330 at college. I am doing a practice exam and need as many examples of statutory and non-statutory regs as possible. cheers

only no stat is 17th eddition.

stat is

COSHH, HASAWA, PUWER, ESQCR, EAWR, a few others but can't remember of top of my head.

Bs 7671 non stat but can and will be used in a court of law. Records show compliance or commitment to comply and help keep you out of trouble.

They are actually mentioned in the EAWR as non ststutory but says quote

"BS 7671 is a code of practice which is widely recognised
and accepted in the UK and compliance with it is likely to achieve compliance
with relevant aspects of the 1989 Regulations".

I think you are allowed to give BS numbers as well, but have to split them into regs (and BS numbers) for both inspection and testing.
This is what I revised, and i managed to get distinctions:

STATUTORY REGS
Inspection
Building regs part B (fire penetration)
Building regs part M (heights of sockets and switches)
Management of health & safety at work regulations 1999
Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998

Testing
Electricity at work regulations 1989
Electricity Supply Quality and Continuity Regulations 2002
Health & Safety at Work act 1974

NON-STATUTORY REGS
Inspection
Guidance note 1
Guidance note 8
BS7671:2008
BS951:1999

Testing
GS38
Guidance note 3
17th Edition Onsite Guide
BSEN 60898

If you can't remember the years, look them up in the book (Appendix 2, p 240, which you can have a coloured tag in), otherwise don't put a year at all because if you get the year wrong you won't get any marks.

BSen 60898 is standard for an MCB
Gs 38 is statutory requierment.
part5 M for socket heights is for new builds socket heights dont have to be raised on alterations and rewires.

BSEN 60898 is the standard for an MCB, yes.
GS38 is a guidance note therefore non-statutory, although can be used to prove compliance with EAWR which is statutory.
The heights of the sockets and switches on the test rig are to be assumed to be in accordance with part M so it is relevant.

have a read at GN38 papragraph 2 THE LAW
I am in scotland part M,p Ect does not apply however in the IEE. Electricians guide to the building regs it does say they apply to new builds only.
