see small feet.
they're not feet, they're hooves.

I wear the cat desert type. There about £100 but they last a good year and are very comfy to wear. They heel is very supportive and great for ladder work. Give them a wipe with g-wax as this helps the raw leather take more knocks.

i really like my haix trekker pro's.

about a year old now and still look new (after a quick polish with kiwi)

I like my Dewalt Apprentice boosts, nice & comfy especially when I did a bush craft weekend last November (kept my feet nice & dry & warm that very wet weekend)

they leak eventually and when they get properly wet they start to fall apart, cant beat leather boots

When you get the cofra boots can you post a review. .....

I've been looking at these as I have wide size 10's and find I'm having trouble cuz my feet seem to sweat more now making 12+hrs on site 7 days a week for 3 or 4 weeks at a time a bit of a nightmare and the cofras are supposed to be well ventilated

We do foreign installations every 2 or 3 months and the last one 2 weeks ago in China killed my feet due to the humidity (any miracle cures welcome) I used to be a Royal Marine so I do know a thing or two about looking after my feet but lately it's causing me problems ie lost a big toenail from the above and kneeling a lot!!!
And I've had to go straight on another job in the glamorous East Midlands! for 3 weeks! !!

but the trouble is the only width they seem to come in my size is the ESD type "electrostatic discharge" with very low resistance, obviously not good for an electrician! !!

i used to have the same problem with sweating feet and it turned out to be my choice of socks making it worse.

wool or bamboo are your best bet, avoid cotton as that is the worst ones for sweaty feet

I do use the bamboo socks and they are better, wool us just too hot at the moment as I'm always indoor now, when I used to be outside more ,wool worked well .

Cotton socks are the worst for work , also a lot of the so called work socks just make your feet hot
Apparently thin merino wool is ok I'll probably get some to see.

have you tried haix, they make some called air something or other that is supposed to keep your feet cool, i nearly went with them when i got my trekker pro's

I'll have a look
When I used to work on industrial sites uk , I was ok as I'd always take two pairs of boots and change socks/boots at lunch which trust me if you get tired feet works wonders!
But due to flying baggage weight restrictions I have to take the absolute minimum of tools/ gear and normal clothes so I have to live in one pair of boots.

i got my last pair off brixworkwear uk

its handy just to see the range if nothing else as they stock more boots than most places ive looked at

Asics trainers.... Or if it's really wet my Lowa goretex boots
25 yrs in the trade now and I've never owned a pair of safety boots, let alone worn any...

mainly domestic so was using timberlands (dewalt apprentice as back up if i need to go on site) they so much lighter,
then I moved to a pair of DC's they are a dream to work in but nearly time to replace. I bought some scruffs that look like a high top trainer but i don't like them made my feet ache after a few hours

Only one boot needed... Redwing 2245... comfy, waterproof, grippy, and i can run, ride a unicycle and tightrope walk in them...

The only downside? The cost from stateside, and the annual confrontation with HMRC re: Vat,on a pair of safety boots...:saddam:

Cheers bud,i will check them out,but the problem always lies with the stock holding of widths and half sizes... In the USA,like it or not,the customer is king, and if you want/need a 9.5 left, and a 10 right, that's what they sell you. There are a selection of widths, and shapes of foot, designated by a "Last" number.

I do not begrudge the cost,to be honest, and have never understood why lads would spend fortunes on hats, belts and phones...yet get the cheapest boots they can,and spend half their time on earth mauling around in them.

Try putting your entire body weight on any other two parts of your body, and see how long they last...

Oh,and just wearing Redwings, may enable you to ride a unicycle....but to do that with a full size acetylene bottle on your shoulder, will require additional charms :conehead:
