Evening all!!
I went to look at a job this evening, a lady has resently moved house and has a small outter building which she wishes to turn in to a hair salon, she wants a 7.5kw shower and 3 sockets and a light, would it be okay to run this off the existing fuse board on a 50amp breaker using 10mm swa or would it be best to run this board straight of the meter?
many thanks sparkyburgess
P.S My first post :)

Don't mean to be nasty Sparky but your profile says you are an Electrician, what do you think is the best option?

run it on its own supply.

that way if the salon is no longer required at a later date it can be disconnected with having to faff with the house wiring.

split tails , fit KMF 63A, then 16mm SWA to outbuilding. 7.5kW shower today, next week a 2nd shower, electric heaters......

Run it on it's own supply and sub meter, all costs relating to this "salon" will be deductable from taxation in anycase and the sub meter will prove the cost output for any potential HMRC investigation regarding claims via the books further down the line.
