I recently bought a catering trailer and have been advised I need to have it re wired using SY cable.
I can't find much information about this and want to make sure I am going to be getting the right thing done.

Thank you for any replies ?

As @DPG has alluded to:

The supply cable, between the power source and trailer, should be H07RN-F cable.

The internal wiring cable should be flexible cable, same stuff as used in extension leads etc, which uses fine stranded cable. Using standard domestic twin and earth cable is a no no as it has solid strands and is prone to breaking due to vibrations when the vehicle is moving.

Most SY cable in the UK is not suitable for mains applications and doesn't meet current UK wiring standards.

Thank you that's very helpful ?
