Hi folks

I have to go an look at a small problem for a customer.
Over the phone he has said the consumer unit make is T-Line. I never heard of that make before.
Does anyone know where this is from, is it a badged make and whose MCBs will fit in there.

He may have misread it, of course.

Thanks for your help

I seem to remember T line as being part of the Selco group, but I think they were mainly protection monitoring gear. Not sure if they were involved in consumer units though.

Is it TD line by any chance? It's a budget brand sold by grant and stone - however I've used it before and been quite impressed!

Thanks, I expect he read it wrong.
I'll find out when I get there - taking my entire stock of breakers with me.............

that looks very much like a chint, rebadged.

AHa, I've seen it, what a Horlicks too.
Should have taken a photo - next trip.

.
There's 25mm tails into a TD-Line enclosure. These go into a Contactum RCD.
From the RCD there is a 16mm² SWA going off to a cottage except for the 100A service fuse there is no overcurrent protection. It looks like the numpty who installed it saw 80A on the RCD and thought that would protect the SWA.

Also from the RCD (again, no overcurrent protection) there's a 2.5mm SWA that goes off to feed outside lights, a socket and a mobile home. Looks like I have some work to do!!!

i needed certification for a job which they were unable to provide for the MCBs / RCDs - never touched it after that
