Hi guys,
I have my part p assesment in about 4 weeks. I have a kewtech kt61, it does everything i need it to apart from pscc. Will i be required to perform a manual pscc test or will calculating it be acceptable? As my tester doesnt do it. Thanks

Also in the calc v/Ze = I, do i use nominal voltage of 230 or measured voltage? Thanks

Can you use your tester to conduct Ze and PEFC tests?
How exactly do you conduct a manual PSCC test?
How do you intend calculating PSCC?

for short circuit you know your measuring between line and the neutral....so for the 1610 (robin or kewtech) you would be getting the earth croc AND the neutral croc on the neutral bar....the neutral croc gets the current the instrument needs to perform the test....and measures between the earth croc and the line croc...as for the calc...Zpn you would work out the same as for Zpe...

They will more probably want to see you using your teaser for all, testing rather than calculating results.

I would suggest measurement, I can't imagine how you can calculate it to be honest, I can work out r1 and r2's by having the ZE and Zs readings, although it is not the right way to do that, however when it comes to PSC or PFC how do you calculate that, asuming you mean prospective short circuit current and I am totally out of my depth when it comes to website initials lol.

try measured voltage divided by measured impedence....thus the lower the impedence...the higher the fault current that can flow.....

pretty complecated though really isn't it? isn't it just better to test it with an instrument?
