What you on about ? I said in a earlier post it wasn't seen as mechanical protection, after your post about needing it and a rcd, if cable was less than 50 mm
 
And if you look, I quoted the same reg number as you, trusting that you'd listed the correct one as I've got better things to do than go and get my book.
 
Ok will , that wasn't what u answered u just said none were required if in safe zone etc etc , not that it wasn't mechanical protection , we had already "worked" that one out
Pretty slow for a arms member you guys usually have it memorized back to front like the karran
 
Its not needed in a safe zone, neither is it classed as mechanical protection nor is it earthed.
you said you needed it along with a rcd if less than 50mm, I was clearly pointing out it wouldn't make any difference if you capped the cable or not.
