Hi folks,

Came across this type of roof tile for the first time recently.

Any ideas what we be a suitable roof hook. Height of tile peak is 50mm above flat surface of tile.

Thanks

Judging by all the bits of tile laying around they look very fragile, not sure where you would get any spare ones from.

The photo doesn't do the roof justice - the tiles (except for one in photo) are in good shape, however, you're right, if any get broken finding replacements could be a problem. There is evidence of some tiles having been replaced but they're not exact replacements and it's alleged they let water in.

Both will do the job.

You WILL break tiles, so you need to have replacements ready!

Try your local architectural salvage yard for spares as other buildings in the area may aslo have been built using them, expect to pay up to £5 / tile instead of the usuall figfure though!

It will cost a lot to go back and fix any leaks afterwards.

Why not? I can't be without them. Unless you're on a pretty new and straight roof, they can be the only thing that will pull the panels straight.

The more joints - the more prone to movement over time!

But since this maybe the only solution then there maybe no choice!

My local yard closed recently - this is where I got all my spares from!

The tile I'll need is a Redland Delta so I'll need to look further afield.

Thanks

I installed 4KW on the exact same roof before xmas, They are certainly not brittle or weak we didn't break or damage a single tile. Install wise i would say exactly the same as any other concrete interlock tile.

As already said, use adjustable roof hook think we used one from SPV.
