Found myself in a bit of sleeplessness in the early hours due to being woken by the baby.
The Knipex website was good for a browse..... but I now have a shopping list bigger than this weeks wages :confused1:

Oh don't you worry Andy hints have been left, but according to the chit chat around my house "He has enough tools already, enough is enough" so I get the impression my exmas present this year will be the same as it normally is socks, sweater or something from M&S, sadly no WERA Advent Calendar.

been scratching my head trying to assuage my longing for some new tool. all i can think of is some VDE allen keys for connecting into isolators that have allen key screws, and earth cable to pme. is it 3mm or 4mm? i don't want to spend a fiver on a size i won't need.

3mm usually for DNO type METs and Henley type blocks when are not slotted.

Bought myself a CK Bush spanner and a CK SWA cutter the other day because I wanted them and I WILL use them daily at some point in the next week. Quite excited about the Bush spanner - feel all growed up!

Do they do an up to date version. Mine used to be useful.....before all these cheap and skinny mb bushes came into being.

i bought a bush spanner with a slot in it so you can tighten a bush if it's already got cables coming through. had it 5 years and used it once.

advent calender. bah humbug.

That’s the style of this one Tel. The type of tool that if you didn’t know what it was for, you would never guess it’s use.
There’s only so many times that you can try to tighten or loosen a bush with pump pliers or long nose pliers before you cave in to the reason why they make a tool for the right job.

Don’t know on that one. It’s the only one I’m aware of and it’s now tried and tested. I tried on the brass 20mm bushes and it seems that the 25mm end fits better so you may be onto something there (but I don’t know what).

a 1/4" slotted driver ( cheap one, not wera or wiha) and a 16 0z. hammer do the job well.

Be interesting to hear your thoughts on the CK bush spanner.
Ive got one in my bag but can find very little use for it!
I had a really nice one once but It got pinched.
