I wanted to ask this question to the pros because Google has a bunch of useless answers. We have a lamp in our living room that is a basic twist switch table lamp. When we went to bed I turned the lamp off. My son woke me up around 1:30 am and when I went to his room the light in the living room was on again. I went back to our bedroom and after a few minutes I noticed the light had turned off again. The lamp is plugged into a GFI and it was definitely off when we went to bed. Is there any rational electrical explanation for how this lamp turned on and then off again with a common twist switch? I am sitting next to it now with it on so it seems to not be a bulb issue.

Thanks much
