I dont see any reason why you need to use LSF, but check with the designer.

You are putting in new circuits so unless they are 50mm from the surface etc etc then you need to install RCD protection.

17th edition.

Even if more than 50mm deep, you'd still require rcd/rcbo's as per 411.3.3 (i)

Pubs used to be wired in Pyro many years ago but as Jason said T & E is fine as long as it is properly protected, just a thought though, if any cable are in an area they may get bashed and knocked just have a thought for mechanical protection

hi what would you wire a pub premises in a full rewire thanks any suggestions

Ummm Don't know if this is the sort of suggestion you're looking for BUT.....

We often film gigs in pubs and clubs. I'm often surprised to find that they have some sort of 'stage' area for DJ, bands whatever.... You probably wouldn't be all that surprised to learn how often those 'stage' areas are served by nothing more than a solitary 13A socket!

A band might be pulling 3-5KW on their backline. Add a P.A., lighting rig... 15-20KW.... Then some idiot comes along and wants to film the whole shennanigans and adds another 6Kw to that....

It would be perfectly lovely if every pub in the land had a couple of dedicated sockets each fed from its own breaker. Even better if the stage area has its own little board.... Seriously; I've seen some of these Karaoke blokes running lighting rigs that must be 3-4KW... For us it's always one of the biggest worries trying to figure out if the system at a location will actually safely support our rig....

all public buildings had to be micc or equivalent i think it was section 28 building.
a building accessible to the genral public.
licence authority have requirments over and above bs 7671
so for a public house i suggest you contact the local authority

Not doubting you but surely if the cables are within the walls then no need for any special requirements?
