So, I have a 5.9Kw cooker, running through the cable calcs I end up with S of 9mm:confused:

Cable run is 1M, by my reckoning
Ib - 15A
In - 16A
Ref C
No Correction Factors (clipped on wall not using BS3036 fuse)
It - 16A
Iz - 1mm
Vd - 44x15x1 /1000 = 0.66
R1&R2 - 36.2x1.2x1 /1000 = 0.04
Ze (measured) - .10
Zs - 0.04 + .10 = 0.14
If - 230/0.04 = 1643
S = 1916x1916x0.4 (sq rt) / 115 = 9 :eek:

Bless any of you that can have a look at this and see what I'm doing wrong

Thanks

Looks like another Adiabatic querey.;)

So S = SQRT of Isquared x T / K.

To find I = Uo/Zs = 230/0.14 = 1642.85

I squared = 1642.85 x 1642.85 = 2698956.12.

Isquared x T = 2698956.12 x 0.1 = 269895.61.

SQRT of 269895.61 = 519.51

519.51 / 115 = 4.5mmSq.

You seem to have got a bit confused along the way there somewhere mate.
