I have recentley added a porch to my house it did not require building regs due to my original door stopping in place.
The electrician has installed a socket & light off my original socket & lighting will this work need registerng and signing off ?

Its not notifiable, but you should still receive a certificate to cover the work that has been done.

I have been trying to get hold of the electrician to ask about a MWC but it is proving hard to contact him, i might try niceic to see what advice they give
Thanks to everyone for the advice.

I have finally got a certificate thank you all for the help.
