I have been asked to add a programmer to a Worcester Bosch boiler. I am more of a commercial industrial spark and don't usually deal with domestic heating switching but want to give it a go. Will any brand of programmer be compatible with a WB boiler and does anyone have a wiring diagram? Also am I correct I assuming I will be requiring 4 core cable?

Is it a programmer or timer you need? I assume its a combi boiler so more likely a timer. Are you going to incorprate a room stat? You can use any brand. 4 core cable will be sufficient but i always use 5 core for boilers, one size fits all so to speak.Wiring is pretty straightforward but location of time clock, stat, fcu can create obvious problems.Have you considered using a Worcester Bosch unit that can be intergrated into the boiler ?

Whenever i fit an external programmer i usually run a 5 core out to it. Connections in the boiler are L,N,E, LS AND LR. A 4 core can be used if you put a link in the clock between L and 1.

Just check your boiler manual incase external controls are volt free

It is a new combi boiler for a flat that is to be rented out multiple occupancy so the timer needs to be in communal area which the boiler isn't can anyone recommend a make model that would suffice?

Could you not fit the roomstat in the communal hallway area and site the timeclock next to the boiler. I usually use drayton

There are 3 rooms in the dwelling. 3 different tenants in house boiler is in one of the tenants room and at present to switch on CH the only way is to do so at boiler landlord wants ability to do this from communal hallway, what do you us recommend a stat and programmer?

Might be worth having a chat with the heating engineer. He may be able to incorporate some zone valves into the setup so that each person can control there own area as the people in the other rooms might not want the heating on

That has not been specified by the client all he wants is a programmer is this possible and if so what are connections in boiler and programmer?

MT10RF will do the trick, I used to fit dozens of these to worcestor bosch boilers.
It is a clock and stat combined, no wiring required, even the batteries are included. Just plug the receiver into the front of the boiler and screw the stat to the wall.
