Hi guys,

Ive just accepted a job on a cruise ship starting friday for 3weeks with more work if they like me.

Im being flown out to baltimore to meet the ship then stay on the ship to the bahamas then back to baltimore to fly home 3weeks later.

Its 12-14 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Has anyone done this before, and if so do you have any tips or advice?

And if anyone has any idea of the types of wiring involved, voltages ect that would be great, i just want something to read up on so ive got an idea of what im doing before i get there.

Thanks,
Tim

Ships are great!
I've worked on refits, so not at sea.
Check your sleeping arrangements, hammocks can seriously knacker your back.
Or worse, you're sharing another dog's bunk!

Good on you fella, just remember, when interviewed, tell the nice officer that the Somalian who employed you was keen you knew about DC controlled anchor and bow thruster circuits...only joking, but the average time it takes to pay ransom is three weeks. How longs that contract?....
