I have looked at hiring.

Roughly £150 per week for a bender and die kit. So. Approximately £75 more to buy one.

Just thinking to bung some drinking vouchers to a fellow sparks...,

Probably going down the buy route, you never know!

I am not in Fife, but near bathgate, I have a Hilmor you may borrow, a couple of die stocks, guides and dies for 20mm 25mm, 3/4" and 1".

Seen a brand new EL32 on there a couple of days back for £250 or best offer, with 20, 25 & 32mm formers. Would have been sending a courier, but they're just about on the 30Kg limit for NI that most apply.

A conduit bender and clamp are on my wish list, but have practically zero need for one. Just would be nice to be able to do conduit if the situation occurred.

I have other things on my wish-list, but this is not the forum for discussing those...

Very very rarely do I get asked to install galv conduit these days , same with pyro , I don't carry any of the tools as standard so would need to make a special trip to my dads house to borrow his.

if I can get away with using swa or pvc conduit instead of galv I will do my best to avoid galv as above it would mean a special trip to borrow all the gear

The satisfaction of installing your pre formed galv tube into the saddles - Once upon a time I done almost nothing but steel conduit, Trunking, and Pyro.
Now retired, just gave away a pipe vice/bender with stocks and dyes to a mate. It wasn't a Hilmor though, I think it used to belong to the Russian weight lifting team.

Don't forget steel conduit is good for use at home too. Just wired my fathers garage in steel conduit. ?
