Mainly on commercial lighting with twin and earth 1.5mm or 1mm on 6A and 10A type C breakers
Im sure there was a table in bs7671 requiring larger CPC sizes for type C breakers than supplied with twin and earth, hence why people use fb200 or singles etc
I guess it must be restrictEd by let...
I have a question around equipment & electrical separation of circuit breaker grouping that I want to reference against the Regs book.
Initially believed this could be covered off by using 528.1 Proximity to electrical services (BAND 1 & 2 cables etc)
Client has mixed circuits of 230V, 110V...
I'm doing a major reorganization ATM
So I've a box of about 30 unused breakers which I threw under the bed and they've gathered dust.
Is the dust a concern or can I just blow it off with the vac ? Thanks
This will be an easy answer for someone (I'm hoping) and I hope the answer doesn't frustrate me. :cautious:
Can I use AFCI breakers and AFCI/GFCI breakers on a MWBC with a handle tie? and, if so, where does the neutral go? - Oh, also, this is on a plug-in-neutral panel.
So...... just connect the...

Please, help me to find the brand and model for a 120Ac 60 amp circuit breaker that can be remotely, turned on, off, and trip reset. It is used in the output of a small 7KVA gasoline generator.

Selling our house to move out of state. Been working for quite a while to purge/pack/fix many small issues (mostly cosmetic), and paint.

Hello,
I was checking my breaker box during the process of shutting down my pool for the season. My pool equipment (pumps, timer) run at 240v. When I went to turn off the breaker, I realized it was two single pole breakers that were independent. That is, there was no handle tie so they could...
Replacing a fan and some lights today at a job I'll be doing more work on, which has an "Emma" branded consumer unit.
Googling suggests that it's a rebranded Contactum board, and the housing looks identical to this image which supports that.
However, I also know that Contactum changed their...
I have an old house, built 1925 that still has part of the wiring in the original separated 2-conductor on post style of wiring to 2 rooms, all off of one 15 A breaker. I was originally hoping to put in grounded plugs without necessarily rewiring, but that doesn't look legal. I'm wondering if an...
