Hi,
Served as an industrial maintenance spark and really want to get into domestic sparking full time, I've put the feelers out to a few electricians for some experience and would like to put myself through the relevant quals or see if any of my existing quals can be transferred (night school...

I was manoeuvring into a bay in the car park of my local Screwfix on Monday morning when a white transit van that was parked in an adjacent bay suddenly began to reverse at speed. My van was positioned approximately 45 degrees in relation to the Transit when impact occurred. The door-hinge of...
What are you guys using a additional physical security on on your vans? Assuming no-one is foolish enough to be relying on the OEM door lock and immobilisers. Being freshly minted, that is fleeced by various insurance and CPS bodies, I chose the DIY option and bought three Milenco Door Bolts off...
We are seriously looking at getting one of these for drills etc. in the van not a site one I think that you can bolt them down. Welcome opinions on them and tips from members.
Slightly off topic, but is anyone aware of an always-on rear view camera that could be mounted on a retro-fitted rear view mirror? Van has a solid bulkhead and a reversing camera, but keen to have a permanent rear view option to spot those pesky cyclists ;-)
Hi guys
I'm new to all this and starting my 2365 soon, but in the mean time and to help fund the course I'm selling my car. So I might as well replace it with a van.
Thing is this won't just be a work van. I still need to be able to carry my two kids around. So is need a crew cab/kombi. And...
Looking for a small van about £2.5k-£3K if any ones got one or knows anyone that's got one up for grabs? It's going to be a firms van for one of my sparks and apprentice.

Hi there,
I have a setup at the moment involving a leisure battery/inverter. I am replacing the single battery with 3 batteries. What I'm wondering is will this mess up my previous calculations re wire/fuse sizes? I'm very confused by the information I've read online. And to connect the two...

So attended a house (one of many) and the earthing arrangements fall far short of what is needed. No bonding such as gas bond the cable is there hanging around in the air by the gas meter. 8.75 ohm Zs at socket.
More importantly the cut-out has no earth to attach to. However there is an earth...
What documentation is required after wiring up a single phase installation in a caravan?
All mains testing has been done as if it were a domestic installation and tests out nicely.. I can do a domestic installation cert although the parts specifying the supply I feel are a bit superfluous as...
My van blew up last week (literally) and I've been looking at a replacement and came across this on eBay its Cat N with what looks like very light damage but because its at the front i was wondering what you guys think? Stay clear? apart from the damage in the pictures below its rather good...
Morning all.
Thinking about getting a dash cam and I'd like to get one that does the rear as well.
I have an ex AA renault trafic which does have a rear window but it has a metal plate over it (that I could cut holes in).
Does anyone have any recommendations of dash cams that they like and...
Hi all,
We ran a ‘Messy Van Competition’ on here a couple of years back and had quite a bit of fun so we’ve decided to help out those in need by providing the two messiest vans with one of our ‘Van Storage Tilt Bin 4’ units.
We’re going to run the competition on the Plumbers/Tilers forums too...

Was having a look around local caravan dealers today, and as I know lots of you want to know the correct way to run a supply to a static caravan, I thought you might be interested in the attached photo which shows how a professional would do it! Also you also don't need the installation on a...
