What's everyone's thoughts on installing meter tails >3 meters in length. I've contacted northern power grid who said the tails where down to the electricity suppliers discretion. Contacted the electricity supplier who didn't give a definite answer, basically do what you want!?

Meter tails through Recessed meter box

Hi all, what are your thoughts on running new tails from an outdoor recessed meter box, straight through the existing hole into the garage where the CU is situated. Meter Tails - Neutral

Hey guys. Wondering if anyone has came across this before and if it is legal? It is several 1.5mm single cores going into the neutral of the main switch. Main fuse etc is several metres away in communal hallway, but is a 16mm meter tail from there. Cheers

    Meter Tails hanging loose.

Been to a job to see this. I'm guessing that when the old CU was replaced the sparks didn't bother to remove the old meter tails - they were live and just had a couple of wraps of insulation tape round them.

Hello all, new member, first post. I've just had my meter moved by the DNO who put it outside. We've had a local spark wire it from the meter to the c/u, and he installed an isolator switch at the same time, which is also outside in a weather proof box. The tails run from the bottom of the meter...
