My parents have got storage rads and a few don't work properly, despite the knob being on the lowest setting they pump out maximum heat. What is the part that has failed and where can I get them from?
Would it be cost effective to replace all of the rads as they are really old? I'm not sure if...

Simple question, do electric towel radiators tend to have thermostats built in?
Fitted one today for a mate (no instructions unfortuanatly), but there was nothing on it to suggest that it was thermostatically controlled. I assume there is, but just checking.
Thanks

Many thanks,

After checking Regs, I find that I can't fit an electric towel radiator within Zone 2.
I.e. no closer than 6oomm from my shower enclosure.
Am I correct?
There is no wall space in the bathroom outside Zone 2 that I could fit...

I have seen a few put above a rad, would have thought not to because of the heat nor not to close for when bleeding, but have again seem soem pretty close next to a rad. Anything in the regs about it?
Just returned from callout to Old dear in village who had a problem with an RCD tripping. Checked circuits and discovered that she had just connected 3 oil filled radiators to ring circuit to "keep chill out" before having to use central heating. Oil filled radiators have not been used for 6...
