    washing machine trips out the rcd as soon as its turned on

    I have a hotpoint Aquarius washing machine. As soon as its plugged in and switched on it trips the rcd. I've tried at another socket toake sire its nor a fault on the socket, but its definitely the machine. Could anybody give me any pointers as what to look for. Thanks
