Customer has a toilet block with 1 inline fan currently doing 1 toilet only.

Set up as follows

Pir turns lights on and last light turns fan on. Perm live to fan.

Now they want 2nd toilet on same fan as all hard piped in roof.

can it be done.

As all I can see is if pir1 turns on that will back feed to lights on other toilets as last light is connected to fan

Or am I losing plot.

1 inline fan x toilet cubical

Currently wired up to 1 cubical only but want to use existing hard piped fan set up for next cubical.

Wired as follows

DB to pir to light to fan.

Perm live to fan.

If i connect second set up same all I see is I'll get back feed turning on lights as pir doesn't switch neutral.

Or am I over looking this

Normally done with double pole light switches, one side feeding the light and the other feeding the fan.

Adding a relay to each pir would work.

You could add a relay, have a seperate pir for the fan and the light or put the fan on a seperate microwave sensor as that will be able to 'see' through a cubicle divider and detect movement in both cubicles.
