Hi,

hope someone will be able to help,

i have added downlighters to an existing lighting circuit taking a switch live, neutral and cpc from the j.b, i have only added four downlighters and when the first three are connected everything is fine and i have 240v, however when i connect the last downlighter lamp into to the circuit the voltage drops to 120v and the lights become dim!

Any ideas what may be causing this?

i have daisy chained them from the first point with the feed out to each light is that series?

If you have taken Live to Live, neutral to neutral, earth to earth on all your lights then this is parallel and will give full line voltage at each fitting. If you have gone live to neutral live to neutral at your fittings this is series, a bit like xmas tree lights of old, one stops working they all stop working.
