I have been asked by a chip shop owner to install a CCTV camera above the till in the shop. However.
There is no office or anywhere suitable to run the dvr and monitor to. No wifi to use an ip cam. All there is, is a suspended ceiling full of lights and a void above. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

and if your only fitting 1 cam you can get some really small 4 way dvr's less than an a4 sheet of paper,be carefull with covert tho',its for a specific purpose and for a specific time,if the staff find its being used just to spy for no reason its gets complicated,if its for general stuff dont forget about signage etc

have a look here,do some good stuff and some good regs stuff to keep you right,

Indeed, i think there are some very grey areas when it comes to covert cctv and there are staff involved.

Not that its your problem of course.
