I would say just try and find one with a 3 year warranty ....
LAP do a 3 year warranty, I wouldn't touch that crap. A lot of terrible brands do long warranties, it's not always a guarantee of something being good.

A 3 year onsite warranty is something totally different and (sadly) very rare!
 
my recommendation is to avoid using PIR. Microwave sensors are the future. they last 4 times longer than PIR and more importantly they are accurate

they have adjustable settings (detection range , on off time and integrated photocell)
