A quiet bathroom fan - any recommendations

I was looking for a bathroom fan with timer that was quiet and there are the usual makes - manrose, Xpelair etc but I came across Blauberg - never heard of them before - anyone used them?

+1 for ventaxia... I did have a Blauberg washing machine once... it was quite good if I recall.

A quiet bathroom fan is a good quality in line fan, sited remotely. Never fit these noisy through the wall things if at all possible.
Double the performance, and only just perceptible that it's running, if installed correctly.

recently fitted a humidistat throuh the wall fan at home. you can barely hear it sat on the bog 4 ft'away, and even a moderate fart drowns it out.

If you do need a through wall unit, I would recommend a ventaxia Svara. Not cheap, but very quiet and highly configurable via app for timer, light levels, humidity etc. If in an exposed location will definitely need a backdraught arrestor though.

It's finding the space I assume is most peoples issue.

In the past I've fitted a couple of Airvent 100mm Quiet Extractor Fan Timer (item 15514 at Toolstation) and found them quite quiet compared to what was in there before. But, they are 'kin long at the back - not a problem if going into a straight duct, but one of my installs had an elbow and I had to fit a couple of spacers to drop the fan down off the ceiling to give enough length before the bend.

This looks very much like an axial fan, which is not suitable for feeding into a duct of any length, other than just through a wall.
