i'm confused. if you did the work for the landlord, why is the tenant sticking his nose in?
 
I am not getting involved with the electrical inspection aspects of this post, but would advise you to write down soon a 'contemporaneous' - which means 'existing at or occurring in the same period of time' or in other words every time you have a communication with him/her or him/her with you write it down with a time and date. This will be then your formal record which you can present in court or to trading standards, if God forbid you have to. I bet he/her has not and this would help you argue your case with some evidence.
