I’ve been looking at fitting smart meters as an option and I was wondering if anyone here had any input.

Yeah that doesn’t sound good. Surely the meter installer should have reported that? From what i gather its not bad pay but some of the work is a bit shoddy.... had one today where meter fitted monday this week, undersized earth, cut out with soft leaking bitumen and an old VOELCB being used still as isolator but not connected anywhere. DNO called at 9 am and cut out changed by 10:30 which was pretty good going for WPD... he should never have swapped meter given state of the supply.
The money sounds good. I spoke to someone about it today but not too keen on being on call.Went to look at a fault a while back, no power in house. The outgoing line cable had fallen out of the smart meter that had been fitted 2 days earlier!
Lol I've just come back from a call out myself, more RCDs tripping due to faulty socket circuits!not too keen on being on call
Really don’t like the idea of it. Gota find a happy medium thow because if I’m not prepared to work away I can’t have it all waysLol I've just come back from a call out myself, more RCDs tripping due to faulty socket circuits!
