Was in the garden earlier and heard a very loud BANG

House alarms started doing there noisy thing.

A little while later Mrs said, looking outa window, look somethings going on!

Ambulance first response, Ambulance, Fire brigade, 3 x Police cars and a crowd in street.

Someone digging in garden replacing fence post hit.....

He walked and was / is fine.

A friend of mine recently had EDF jointing a cable in the road outside his house and it was left half finished overnight. It peed down all night and when the guy turned up next day and rmoved the protective cover a load of water shot straight into the exposed joint.....BIG BIG explosion...fence and hedge adjacent totally destroyed, next doors plastic weather boarding melted....one very lucky EDF guy to walk away.

As a matter of interest what is safe working practise for Live working 'in the hole' these days ?

I heard a Jackanory of a bloke in the hole doing a connection getting his ear licked by a passing dog and they both got fried?

The dog must have been a robot and his tongue a live conductor unsheathed.... K9 evil the dog that got fried must have been in the blokes hands.

About 6 months ago a lad in work was connecting a generator up for temp supply of lighting/power for the next block of apartments. Anyway he starts knocking the earth rod in, gets about 2/3rds down and lets go. Next hit, BANG. straight into a live sub main. Again, very lucky.
