Im come away for the week and I have a shaver that I need to charge. No shaver socket. I was presuming there would be a shaver socket so I left my plug adaptor at home. I've been to sainsburys and unfortunately they don't sell them.
Surely I can just wire up the live and neutral for an hr so I can get enough charge for a shave? It says input 100v - 240v, I'm here on my own, no kids I can sit near it whilst it's being done.......

Let's have a vote...... Who would wire it up

By the way, This is in the arms out of the public view

I'd go down bar the and console myself that I can't have a shave. :-)

otherwise, frig it.

Everyone does thing they shouldn't from speeding to doing a job and not declaring it to the tax man.

Me personally yes i would do it, I need something I can ensure that no one else gets hurt while doing then can't see a problem, its a similar situation to "placing out of reach" which is allowed in BS7671

Apparently, you could take an insulated screwdriver, open the earth shutter, then with a bit of wiggling, the 2 pin plug might just fit into the L/N holes. Got to be safer than wiring anything?

Weird saying this because of what i just done Not sure I like the idea of not being able to see the connection

Could be mistaken for a building site.

Take advantage of the situation mate, there's no one to bug you because she gets a rash when you kiss her goodnight. If you're lucky you could look like one of ZZ Top this time next week:)

Depends where the rash is...

If it was a decent hotel, a call to the concierge and a razor and soap would be bought to your room.

micky, are you sure you're not a plumber?

Unless I'm mistaken, I got one of those too! So not exactly a close shave man either, then?! Oh, and I butchered one of those euro-uk plug things so it's hard wired permanently.

Definitely not a plumber tel, I don't like getting wet!

And to the two guys who got I-shave. I used to get ingrown hairs/ shaving rash all the time, even when using brand new razors etc. but since using that I get no problem, and who doesn't like a lil bit of stubble?? :)

if you pop a driver in the earth you can just about ram an american plug in an english socket :p
