Hello. I'm just looking for a bit of advice.

I had a new boiler fitted a few months ago. An electrician came and wired it up and left me a Minor Electrical Installation Works certificate.

ive just had a plumber round to check the work and he says the electrician has wired the boiler from the lighting circuit and he shouldn't have done this because it is a 6 amp switch in the fusebox.

The electrician says it is ok because he has fitted a switch next to the boiler with a 3 amp fuse in it.

could you tell me which one of them is right please?

Many thanks

unconventional, but not a problem. a bathroom fan is usually fitted with a 3A fuseand that's wired from the lighting.
