Hi guys, I need to bond the gas and water at a friends house..never done it before as I worked mainly on sites. My times just out, where’s the best place? Gas meter is outside in a Box so would I just clamp onto the metallic side just before it enters the house? And the water, not entirely sure where it enters the house..any help would be appreciated thanks

Gas within 600mm of the point of entry to the building, water as close as possible on the consumers side of the SC.
But as above, check bonding is required, plastic incomers mostly negate the requirement for main bonding.

main bonding yes
So say for all CU changes, EICRs etc, you test the Gas and Water requirements, and not just say bonding in place of not as the case maybe? Could you point me the the Regulation that endorses your claim please?

10mm Main bonding for the gas in the meter box is fine. On the consumers side of the meter rather than the distributor.
As for water, you would need to find the stop cock inside the house. Ask your friend as most customers know where their stop cock is. If you can see a plastic pipe feeding into the stopcock then I doubt it will need bonding as this will be an insulating section where it enters the house.
