Bosch or Makita 240v Hammer Drill?

Hi

Looking at buying a 240v Hammer drill and have seen two that I like, which are similar in price.

One is the Makita HR2470 and the other is a Bosch GBH2-26DRE

Just looking for opinions on the best one

i have had both and to be honest and apart from the makita dropping out of service a long time before it should have both seemed sound. the bosch is still going strong

110 on site no no to 240 Why not get a battery one most these days can do what a main one will do and come with multiple batterys so no need to stop and wait for charging...

Im only after one for the odd private job.

The Bosch is 800w and 0-3 Joules, the Makita is 780w and 0-2.7 Joules

personally i think bosch are becoming less realiable of late ..... unless i have had a Friday one

Makita seem to be behind of late, something i hope they will change asap

Ive got a makita -750w-hammer, roto stop,drill etc,had it over ten years,changed the brushes twice,use it for chasing mainly with chisel bit,WD40 it regular through the motor housing,blinding little darling,my missus will go first.....Mainly because she dont let me oil her regularly!!!!
