Hi all, Im sure this question has come up a million times but i cant find the answer anywhere on this forum.
Does anybody know rough costs i would have to pay bc until im able to join NIC.
Have been told £190 for a new build installation or compete rewire sign of, but cant find info on prices for smaller works like db changes and other small notifiable works.
Any help would be much appreciated
Steven

It's totally in the hands of your LABC. Mine as an example would be dependent on who was doing the work. If you were a qualified electrician and had all the proven qualifiactions and full calibrated test equipement then a full rewire would have been about 135 pound +VAT, if you were a DIY'er then it could have been as much as nearly 300 pounds + VAT as they would insist on an approved contractor coming in to ok your work.

It's call yours and have a chat

Hi malcom thank you for the fast reply. I am an electrician with my own test epuipment but my council (canterbury) still quoted £190. I rang them yesterday for an email with prices but recieved nothing!!!!
