Cable Calculation for 2x25mm XLPE SWA

Good evening all.

Just wanted some advice on a cable calculation,

How do you calculate the carry capcaity of a circuit when there are two cables suppling a DB, we have 2x25mm XLPE SWA cable suppling a DB, just wanted to know how you would calculate the carrying capacity of these two cables?

Double the current carrying capacity of one cable. So if one cable takes 100A, two in parallel take 200A.

Don't forget the XLPE table will be for 90~ so unless your switch gear is rated for 90~ then you need to use the PVC 70~ table for CCC.

Provided that they're laid far enough apart not to be mutually warming each other up (not 'grouped').

Edit: or you've taken that into account when calculating the ccc for each cable.
