Hi. I’ve been using Easycert for a number of years but on a recent NICEIC assessment I got marked down as a non compliance as Easycert is not updated to the new amendments. The assessor told me that Easycert can no longer be used for any installations designed after amendment 3 came into effect. Has anyone else run into this issue? Surely this would make Easycert unusable for many

The IET model forms have not been updated since amendment 2. The only thing that would be different is where it says "in accordance with BS 7671:2018, amended to ..................... (date)", where you'd put 2024 instead of 2022. I don't use easycert myself, but I take it this date is filled in automatically?

No access to that as a user.

Thankfully not something our assessor mentioned. He did think he caught us out with an incorrect R1+R2 reading for the ASHP circuit of the job we showed him, duly retested and reading was spot on . So he pulled us up for B32 breaker instead of B25 instead

Have you contacted Easycert about it?
I imagine this is something they would be keen to resolve.
I use Easycert as well and have done for years too.

I'm so glad I'm not registered, I really couldn't be doing with all this. What was the problem with the B32?

No user cannot put in their own date, it is already on the cert as 2022 and can’t be altered. Easycert are aware of the problem but don’t seem to be doing anything to attempt to resolve it even though it’s now almost 9 months since the new amendments came into play. Audit companies also marking down as non compliances. In my eyes Easycert is no longer a contender if it can’t be used so may be time to switch to another software
