Caravan has 12 volt lighting direct off battery charger. No leisure battery installed. On permanent hook up. Works ok. Anyone see any problems with this?

Battery chargers are for Charging, power supplies are for suppling power ...simples look around for something like an old 5A CB Power supply unit or better still a dedicated Caravan DC Suppy unit.......BTW if your young CB = Citizen Band you know like Boss hogg uses.

I used to love using the CB when I was a kid. I wonder how many times I've used the phrase "10-4 for a copy"

Cheers, it was actually 14 for a copy. 19 was the trucker channel. When Cb became less busy, all went to 19.

14, 14 for a copy. Come on good buddy. How many candles you burning? Where is your home twenty?........lol,a different time

Cornish small man.

Yep 1-4 was the public sort of channel as you rightly say, it all went ---- up when the UK made it legal, was much more fun when it was illegal, I remember buying my first rig from radio shack in California that was 1980 cost me more to buy the twig when we got back to UK.....happy days

i had a half wave areal mounted on top of a long scaffolld tube
during sun-spots i used to contact american truckers
