Morning,

First post... apologies...!

Currently got 2no LED batten-style lights in my garage, all wired in by a sparky about 6 months ago. 1 serves the front of the garage, the other the rear (and the garage is divided by a partial stud wall). The rear half ceiling insulated and boarded over. Separate DB in the garage etc...

Can I swap the rear single batten for 3no IP44 rated LED spots? The drivers on the spots allows for in/out cabling (ie really easy) so wire them one offer the other in a chain?

Experience level - replaced spots like for like in the house without any issue... sounds obvious / simple enough to do?

Thanks,
Richard

Don't see why not but current Regulations will require the alteration to have additional 30ma rcd protection.

Thanks, will see what was/is installed when the rain stops - my sparky wired in such a way as I was going to re-install the batten anyway (once I'd put the ceiling up) so may already have RCD in place. If not, then I'll leave it for the time-being; I'm not wishing to break any rules for a change.

Richard
