Hi Everyone

I currently have a wall light installed which is a double light, I want to replace it with a single bulb light.

When I have taken the original lights down there are 2 live, 2 neutral and 2 earth (1 of each wired into each side)

Is it possible to combine to wires (2 of each) into the single light or do I need to remove the wires that aren't required?

the 2nd cable will be to feed the next light, or it will be a switch wire. rewire the new light same as the old one.

the simple answer is that if you are competent to do it, go ahead. if not, call in a sparks. basically it has 3 choices:

1. it works. move on.

2. it don't work... cal a sparks.

3. it goes bang... see answer to 2.

Or the potential 4th and 5th
4 You do something wrong and die a painful death
5 You do something wrong, your house burns down and kills everyone in it.
Have a nice day now :)

bloody prophet of doom there . no wonder noah built an ark just because he was in manchester and it rained. :75:
