Hi, we are having a shower fitted - the electrician has run the cable vertically over the top of the noggins, meaning when we make the wall good the filler will encompass the 10mm cable he has pinned to them. I'm certain this is not correct, so I'm tempted to retrospectively cut the cabling into the noggins - approximately 6 of them, then protect them and plasterboard and skim over the top. Any advice? Obviously the cable is not yet connected to either the shower or the consumer unit. Thanks

Modern twin & earth cable doesn't mind being encased in plaster, there is no requirement to protect it with any covering.

However, the cable/clip looks like it is barely going to be below the surface of the final finish, which may end up being so thin that it is prone to flaking off over time.

Is the cable in the photo below or above either the shower, an isolator switch, or some other electrical accessory to indicate its' possible presence? If not, it might not meet building regs., depending on where sited (safe zones).
