Hi, I have encountered a weird problem on my Citroen C5 2003. I have installed two reversing lights on my car which is connected to the Rear foglights on the trailer contact. I have recently been experiencing that when the car is left for 3-4 days without driving it that the battery is too low to start the engine. after putting an amp meter in series with the negative terminal on the battery I am reading a current draw of around 200mA with the ignition off and car locked. When i pull the trailer plug connected to my reversing lights the current drops to around 20mA which is perfectly normal. only the ground pin and pin for fog lights are connected to the male contact.
could this be caused by a bad relay or something similar that controls the trailer contact?
the lights are not illuminating despite the 200mA current, but work perfectly fine when switched on.

Found the issue, there is a switchy in the contact which activates a relay, regardless if the ignition is on or off. this relay is continuously drawing around 180mA, also this relay deactivates the brake lights on the car, it seems like it will be necessary to run separate wires to the lights.
