Yes, the medical officer resigned, as she should have done. Arrogant, ignorant, or just stupid? Well, from her qualifications she isn't exactly stupid in the academic sense...so that leaves the other 2 options above.
If she hadn't been the public face on TV preaching to us several times a day, she might have got away with it...the word "contempt" springs to mind...
but, this is the Keeping it Light thread!

I know it’s not strictly CV19 related, but maybe it could be as I’m sure they are on lockdown in Birmingham Alabama ... Sweet Home Alabama has been a sentimental fav of mine over the years and this version takes the biscuit. They won the Eurovision Song Contest with it, if I recall correctly .

What I found even funnier, was the cops had to go round and give her the advice, that she had been advising everybody else about.
I find it a bit ironic that someone who’s party is constantly having a dig at the nasty tory capitalists thinks it’s ok to have second homes ?.....frankie krankie will conveniently skip this detail I expect

I would think the guidelines allows people to check on empty properties that they own, whether that be a second home, a shop or café.
But what it assumes is you go, on your own, and spend a minimum amount of time.
You don't take your partner, and kids and stay all weekend, for 2 weekends on the trot.

I did try to bring this thread back on topic earlier...however having read subsequent posts I guess folks must have their say...
Anyway, back to current concerns...I'm doing a lot of cooking and learning more each day.
For example, here is a tip if you live alone, only want 1 portion of mince to cook for your dinner, but froze the whole 500g pack:
1. Place the frozen block of mince on a breadboard
2. Insert a fresh tungsten-tipped blade into your multi-tool (mine's a DeWalt cordless, but any make will do!)
3. Using a combination of passes and plunge cuts, portion the mince into sections
4. Return the extra portions to a plastic tupperware type dish, separated by some greaseproof paper, and pop back in freezer
5. Thaw the selected section of mince and cook it, and while it is cooking, clean your blade thoroughly and put it in your cutlery drawer, smiling smugly...

The green stuff is kale, granted...but it's only there for colour!

On another topic, I was chatting to my daughter on the telephone the other day, and as I stood near the TV the sunlight was slanting through the window...OMG, look at the dust!
She said, same here, are you going to clean it?
I said yes, of course...ain't doing anything else.
She said, send me a picture,. i love a good Before and after shot...

Oh that looks amazing. I haven't had that good stuff for ages. I think a Balmoral chicken is in order for this weeks isolation meat treat.
