I could do with a bit of advice on how to and why we should cross bond to the pipes that enter and exit a central heating boiler. Should each of the water pipes be cross bonded. Should the gas pipe be bonded? I understand that that the incoming services must be bonded as they enter the building, direct from the main earthing terminal. The rest isn't quite so clear. Could somebody help?

You don,t have to cross bond anymore as long as the system is to the 17th, saying that and its only our policy we still do, the reason had to be done before was to bring all the copper pipes in the building to the same earth potential in the case of a fault occuring, but now theres plastic this plastic that, if its 17th edition no need my friend.
Incoming gas/water must be , with a 10mm earth cable, thats a must.

If the board is pre 17th I take it all the pipes coming from the boiler should be bonded. Should I bond the single gas pipe entering the boiler to the water pipes as well?

Yes my mate, the lot, after all it won,t do any harm whats oever, it can only make thigs better.

17th edition - all equipment must be installed according to manufacturer's instruction. So read them.
Eg, Worcestor-Bosch state 'all pipes entering the appliance must be electrically cross bonded'.
