Well, even though im sure we all safley isolate, you've had something catch you by surprise. What went bang or give you a dig latley?

Latest bang i had was a plugtop to a tumble dryer that had the earth and live squeezed...

working above a false ceiling the other day on one of those horrible click boxes. screwed to basket at bottom only so was flopping all over the place. raised bare terminals. got on hell of a belt.

Smoke and CO alarms next to lights but on their own circuit continually get me when I have spacey (not paying attention) days. Got a nice ear buzz a couple of weeks ago. I seem to have quite a high natural resistance. Which is nice.

Then learn to be more careful, and quickly!
High natural resistance is nonsense, every little buzz could be affecting your heart and you could drop dead the next time!

Here's one you will never hear twice...went to a friends farm to remove battery packs off a 30 tear old Dufon self propelled access platform. Disconnect first pack and as i lift terminal off BOOM,top blows off 1st battery, and i'm covered in acid...clothes off,to outside tap, flush eyes etc seem ok,borrow tee-shirt,rub on moisturiser, and sit down to have butties. Finish with an apple,go in barn to give core to resident donkey, who sticks head over door to receive. Goes to take apple core, but instead, locks on proper to me chest, nipple area to be precise. Fear i may loose said nipple, prepare to knuckle him in his eye...and he releases....now THAT hurt. Get home later and have to explain to missus why me teat looks like a great-white with a gumshield chewed on it...

The donkey reminds me of another animal story.

I was brought up on a farm and we had a big green that we fenced off now and again to keep the odd cattle beast quarantined. The fence was a simple, temporary, two strand affair. But it was electrified and the cattle kept off it.

OK. I'd been out with my dog and walking back home. And the bravado thing kicked in - I was maybe 13 or 14 at the time. Grab fence in right hand - I can do this, tock, tock, tock as the box does..... then the dog came and gave his usual friendly greeting by sticking his nose into the hand by my side.................poor thing. Wet nose, no insulating footwear......both he and I got one helluva belt!

He let out a howl, raced off home, and hid under the table. He did get over it and was fine.

I've never had many belts only about 5 small ones 2 my fault,
Nowhere near enough to say I'm qualified according to a bloke I used to work with....
However I have been bitten by a goat and I wasn't too impressed!

ive only had a couple tingles but only ever tripped one rcd unintentionally.

i was labouring for the day and grabed the back of the old light in loft (bassically had a big clip that clips on joist)

tripped rcd when sweat covered hand shorted all the cores together lol

at was only a slight tingle almost like pins and needles
