What he said ^^

follow the wiring. The over temp reset will be in series with the controls on the live side.
if it’s a reoccurring problem, you’ll need to diagnose the problem.

Turn off at the wall and do a continuity test across live and neutral with the input dial fully open. Should read the resistance of the elements.
If open circuit, you’ll get a very high reading.(ie, if the reset hasn’t clicked back in)

Edit
just realised this is a DIY question. So best just leave it and see if it works tonight.

It's this bit if you didn't find it, sort of rectangular metal tab, make sure the mains supply is off as the tab is live in operation. Press it gently, it is a fragile part. If it has tripped for no apparent reason and trips again the thermostat is likely faulty and the thermostat and cutout unit will need to be replaced as a complete unit.

If it hasn't tripped and it is not working, further testing will be required.
