Do I need a CSCS card if I get a ECS card

I've just finsihed my 2330 LV3 hence I'm looking to find employment so I can do my NVQ to become fully qualified.
However I've found when applying for apprentiships am asked if I have a CSCS card. THe JIB is CSCS partner scheme,
so do I still need a CSCS card to work on site? If I do need it then why do we have the ECS card?
Or is the CSCS just for hHealth and safety purposes then the ECS says "I'm a partly qualified electrician who must be supervised"

JIB/ECS card is affilated with CSCS if you are planning on becoming an electrician you will need the ECS card you will then be graded on that card ie labourer/adult trainee/improver/electrician etc etc and your quals listed on the back

the only difference in the test is you get more questions on general electrical healy and safety than the CSCS test

As explained to me by agency wallah, you will need the CSCS card to gain entry on site, I says I've got the ECS card! He and other agency people have said the same thing over and over so I got fed up with IT, paid the money and did the CSCS & I have to get the Operative card as they don't have one for sparks!

I will be renewing the ECS Adult Trainee card in September as will have completed the 2330 L3 this June/July

Then your agency rep is a complete retard.
The ECS card has the cscs logo on the front.
God i hate agencies , muppets every last one of them.

The ECS card is the "electricians" CSCS card.
